# Athena Index

## What it is

Athena Index is credibility infrastructure for entity due diligence. The unit of
measurement is a named public figure, scored on the claims they personally made
in public. It is used by funds, compliance teams and research platforms that need
to know how much weight to give a commentator before acting on what they say.

It is NOT a prediction market, a trading signal, an influencer leaderboard, or a
popularity ranking. It makes no forecasts and takes no position on future events.

## How scoring works

Six behavioral pillars, weighted: Outcome Alignment (22%), Specificity (20%),
Consistency (15%), Transparency (15%), Accountability (15%), Calibration (13%).
Prediction accuracy is therefore only 22% of a score. The other 78% measures how
claims are made, qualified, revised and owned.

A claim is only scored once its stated deadline has passed. Entities without
enough scored history return no score at all rather than a placeholder.

## Coverage

Financial commentary, crypto first. YouTube is currently the only live ingestion
source. Scores recompute weekly. The methodology is versioned and every score is
tagged with the version that produced it.

The public index is free with no account required. The Claim Ledger Pilot is a
sales-led engagement for teams. The API is in private beta.
